This book adresses management and patent departments as well as consulting patent attorneys in order to give them an overview of the regulations of the German Act on Employees´ Inventions. Besides the official legal texts, a short introduction is intended to give the necessary information of the individual regulations and their relationship to each other.

In regard to the more strongly international interconnection, a further chapter dealing with the regulations of the employee invention right in the important industrystates has been added to the content.

A real helpful advantage is the glossary which explains specific legal terms in the general context.

"Due to interlocking between multinational corporate entities and Germany as an area of research and production, there has recently been an increased demand for a complete translation of the Act on Employees' Inventions. The reason for this is the unique position of these legal regulations in the international field, and the difficulties involved in unterstanding them abroad. This book, which contains a simultaneously-opposed English translation, is intended to fill this gap.

The book thus adresses business management and Patent departments as well as consulting Patent Attorneys, in order to give them an overview of the regulations of the German Act on Employer's Inventions.

A short introduction preceding the text of the Act is intended to give the reader an overview of the individual regulations and of their relationship to one another.

The book also contains a glossary in English and German with corresponding references to the legal text, in order to explain specific legal terms."
